Today was a shorter day. We left lock 20 around 9am but decided we needed a break and stopped after 23 around 2. The lock master had told us there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance and the park at this lock wall seemed a bit bigger and well used by the locals. We tied up. I went for a walk just needing to get off the boat for a while. Later that night we walked into town to check out the pizza place that was recommended by several of the local fishermen. Unfortunately it seemed that all three of the local restaurants were closed due to the holiday weekend. I guess the locals here don't want to eat out on Labor Day?
It ended up being a nice, quiet day. We both caught up on some screen time, got some exercise, and enjoyed the short day on the water.
